Care and maintenance recommendations…
By carefully looking after your watch, you will be able to enjoy many years of accurate timekeeping and reliable underwater use. The following instructions are our recommended methods to care for and prolong the life of your new watch.
Strap Removal
The tolerances are tight with the spring bars and the straighter you keep the strap during removal the better, push one side in and move the strap away from the case slightly, push the pin on the opposite side in just enough to move the strap out, keep level then pull the strap downwards, extra care must be taken with the titanium models.
Strap Fitting
Put one side of the strap/spring bar into the lug, lay the other side level between the lugs, push in the spring bar pin and move the strap into position until the pins spring through the holes, I recommend putting tape on the back of the lugs and use plastic or wood to push the pin into place.
The following bracelet fitting video shows how…
Bracelet Fitting
Put one side of the bracelet/spring bar into the lug, lay the other side level between the lugs, push in the spring bar pin and move the strap into position until the pins spring through the holes, I recommend putting tape on the back of the lugs and use plastic or wood to push the pin into place.
Bracelet Link Removal
Begin by separating the bracelet at the clasp and lie the watch flat with the case back facing upwards. Remove two pins securing one of the links, following the arrows on the bracelet to remove the pins. Do not move the bracelet during removal, simply remove the link and slide the bracelet links back together replacing the pins in the opposite direction of removing them. The key is not to let the link collars fall out of the link during adjustment. Once the pins are in place, tap the pins with a suitable tool to secure them.
Cleaning your watch
We recommend you use a small soft toothbrush and mild soap, work in with the toothbrush then rinse off with fresh water.
Please check your winding crown is screwed down tight before entering water as damage caused by water entering a loose crown is not covered under warranty.
Always rinse your watch with fresh water after swimming or diving, turn the bezel to dispense of any fine particles that may build up underneath, if your bezel does become tight rinse under warm water and turn to work loose.
Treasure Seeker Crown
Crown – the Treasure Seeker crown is a twin lock construction, extra care must be taken when screwing the crown down, if you feel any resistance stop and unscrew, try to screw the crown down in another location, check the crown is screwed down tight before entering water.
Using your Diver One in a saturation dive system
Unscrew your crown on any blowdown you may have within your saturation period, decompress your watch at the normal rate, any damage caused by rapid decompression (equipment/medical lock) is not covered under warranty.
IMPORTANT TREASURE SEEKER INFORMATION: It is not recommended you take your Treasure Seeker or Top Side Crew watch into a saturation diving system, any damage caused by using the Treasure Seeker or Top Side Crew watches in this pressurised environment is not covered under warranty.
